Introducing Trident WAVE Swim Team!
Great News! Trident is opening a new swim team! As a counterpart to our advanced competitive team, we are excited to introduce a new recreational team, Trident WAVE! This team is perfect for newer swimmers, ages 10-18 who would like to join a swim team. Swimmers will be coached by our same upper level Trident coaches, with a focus on technique development, building endurance and having fun! Our Wave Team is a great entry point for swimmers new to our sport, or athletes needing to develop technique and endurance. This team is also ideal for young people who may have several activities during the school year but who really want to participate on a swim team. This program will be led with reduced attendance and performance requirements, but still with the goal of advancing swimmers as far as they'd like to go in our sport (including advancement to our more advanced competitive team). Graduates of our Blue Wave 2, who are 10 and over, are also eligible! Tryouts are available during the month of August. Please call our front desk to reserve a visit with a coach! Details can be found in our team flyer on our Wave Team site!

During Challenging Times...
Elite athletes thrive when they work, train and live a daily routine. While we cannot control some aspects of our current environment, there are countless ways to be in control of your day, your nutrition, dryland workouts, school work. Take control of your routine. You'll feel the benefit of being more in control of your life, and you'll be in much better shape when training at the pool returns! We'll get everyone back in the water just as soon as we can!! Be smart, be safe, create your routine.

With a passion for our sport of swimming, Trident's mission is to play a meaningful role in developing amazing athletes and even more amazing people...embracing life's journey and the many tremendous life skills, character development and athletic achievement that our great sport can instill in each of us!
We aspire to prepare swimmers for great success in competition by utilizing a comprehensive and methodical training program, integrating individualized attention while embracing the empowering aspects of teamwork and sportsmanship. We believe that training methods, developmental tools and technique perpetually evolve and improve. As a result, we continuously, proactively seek out new ways of thinking, training and competing. And...always with a tidal wave of FUN!!
Training excellence involves thoughtful, research-based and carefully managed attention to technique, strength and power development, team building, mental training, nutrition, mobility and strategic recovery. We believe continuous education, when combined with great effort an inspired attitude for greatness, leads to amazing success! At Trident, we endeavor to challenge ourselves with the ultimate question, "What is possible?"
Since its establishment in 2014, Trident's swimmers have achieved State Records, National Ranking, World Ranking and even Olympic Trials berths. Over 60% of our graduating athletes have earned scholarships to swim at the NCAA level (nationally, only 7% of high school swimmers earn the chance to swim at the college level). This year, 83% of our seniors were awarded collegiate swim team roster positions. But our primary mission and greatest reward is helping to develop outstanding young people. Trident's swimmers are dedicated athletes who train up to 6 days per week, and range in age from 8 to 19. Success in our sport, without question, correlates to confidence, skills and overall success in the classroom, at home and in life!
This spring, Trident is expanding our team from two training groups to five. To provide a results-based continuum from swim lessons at Waves to competitive swimming, Trident is introducing three new training groups. Swimmers graduating from our swim school will earn the option of joining the team. For swimmers who can already swim a length of the pool freestyle, and would like to tryout for team, please see the link below to learn more about our team.
Trident is a private club sanctioned by USA Swimming, based at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Our swimmers range in age from 8 - 19. To learn more about USA Swimming visit here.
